This quote doesn't have much to do with the plot of the story, but I just liked the way he described the instrument going out of tune.
So far, Snow Falls and then Disappears has been my favorite story in his book. I want to tell you about it, but writing about it will spoil it! (As is also the case for most Doctor Who episodes) I had to reread it again to confirm that I understood it properly. What a story! If you can somehow find it, read it! It's only 6 pages in my small paperback.
