The Hollywood Reporter: The Unexplainable Surge in Good Sitcoms

I read this article back in March, but I didn't need to read it to recognize that good TV was all around. I am a huge TV watcher. M once pointed out to me: 'you sound like a TV addict. don't worry, i am too. lets join a support group.'

I wouldn't say I watch a lot of TV shows. I just keep up with the weekly episodes--which amounts to a lot of television.

Sadly, the season of finales is here, which means all my shows are on hiatus. I am a huge NBC fan--I watch Community (I love Troy and Abed), 30Rock (I've been watching this since its first season!), and Parks & Recreation (Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are neck and neck for title of my favorite comedic TV actress). My only forays into other networks involve ABC for Modern Family (what a great ensemble cast), CBS for The Good Wife (The only non-comedy that I watch. The dramatic writing and acting is par none on television, I think. Also, I secretly wish I could have Alicia + Kalinda's wardrobes), and again CBS for the occasional How I Met Your Mother (I only watch this because the the Night Owl, the Song Bird, and the Knitter are pretty faithful watchers and I want to be in the loop. And because John Lithgow of 3rd Rock from the Sun appeared this season. Thanks to the Night Owl for reminding me!).

For a more thorough (I know, I know, there's more to TV than comedies) discussion on the year's best television, read the original article here.
