For those who aren't familiar with Danny Pudi's character Abed on Community, Abed is a super-TV nerd. In the first season more than the second, Abed continually gave 'meta' observations about the episode itself--most often, he correctly identified archetypes and made references to similar manifestations in past TV shows.
